High Contrast Cinema are a non-profit, volunteer-run cinema organization formed by a group of friends in late 2022.

Our mission is to share our passion for cinema with others by offering an opportunity to enjoy a carefully curated selection of classic films from the Golden Age of Hollywood and beyond, with an initial focus on the mysterious alleyways and shadowy corners of film noir.

Our purpose is to provide an experience beyond just the flickering of images on a silver screen; we want to build a community united by an appreciation of the artistry and magic of movies that often elude streaming platforms and may not have been viewed by local audiences in decades.
