High Contrast Cinema close out 2026 by stepping into the smoke‑filled bars, back‑alley deals and fractured romances of Hollywood’s most magnetic icon. The new season - Bogart: Crime, Chaos & Casablanca - opens on Friday 2nd October 2026 with Bogart caught in the brutal churn of Prohibition‑era America opposite James Cagney in Raoul Walsh’s electrifying gangster saga The Roaring Twenties (1939). Then, on Friday 6th November, the mood turns darker and more intimate with Nicholas Ray’s haunting noir In a Lonely Place (1950), where Bogart delivers one of the most complex performances of his career.

 

Finally, on Friday 4th December, the year concludes with the timeless classic Casablanca (1942), a film of romance, sacrifice and the kind of cinematic magic that never fades.
